But I’m still here!
I’ve been trying to keep warm during the bitter cold that’s hit New England… nothing says freezing cold like a high of 5F!
Getting up to run, when it’s 4F feels like -12F also is pretty hard. I’ve been keeping my mileage around 1 or 2 miles a day. I need to pick it back up to at least 3 a day next week, since half marathon training starts on the 3rd.
That’s right, I’m going to be doing my second half marathon in April – The Nike Women’s Half Marathon in DC! I’m doing it with two special ladies, one of them is a great friend from college and the other is a great friend from One Run For Boston.
That brings up another update: I’ll be running in One Run For Boston 2! You might remember that I ran One Run For Boston in 2013. I ran the last stage that crossed the Boston Marathon finish line on July 1st. This year, I will be running the last two stages, and the course will be along the Esplanade. The relay will finish this year on April 13th – the weekend before the Boston Marathon. Interested? Head to www.onerunforboston.com to see where there is a relay stage near you!
Other than that, things seem to be pretty great. I have a surprise that I will be sharing with you guys tomorrow… I can’t wait!
Hope you are having a great start to 2014!
